“I woke up the first morning of the New Year 2008 with a very painful hand/wrist, that continued to swell up during the day. The next day I had X-rays taken that showed that I had broken my Lunate bone some time ago in my past and never knew it. I had probably strained it in some fashion the end of December which caused the swelling. I visited two doctors who recommended a very costly reconstruction surgery involving fusing bones, followed by four to six months of healing and rehabilitation and probably not having full range of motion thereafter as a result of the surgery. After 5 weeks of pain, swelling, and inflammation and the inability to use my hand, I made an appointment with Merle Friedman an acupuncturist in Brandon, FL. After the initial consultation, she gave me my first acupuncture treatment, which included Electric Stimulation of the inflamed area. The results were fantastic. My hand started feeling better almost immediately after leaving the office and by next morning it was feeling 80-90% back to normal with the pain and inflammation subsiding dramatically. I went back for a session each of the following two weeks. I took precautions and waited to do any lifting for the following three to four weeks. I have not had and problems since and am back in the gym lifting weights and doing normal lifting and work at my business. I am a huge believer in Acupuncture and am very thankful and appreciative of the services of Merle Friedman to heal me.”
