"I cancelled my lumbar fusion surgery because my back pain was gone.

I've been having problems with my back for most of my life. However, in August 2007, I injured my back while lifting which then seriously affected my ability to bend, walk or stand without experiencing severe pain.

From that point I was not able to do much of anything physically. Over time I just came to accept the pain and when it got very bad I could always take powerful pain medication to get relief.

Finally, I decided to do something about it. I visited Dr. Allen at the beginning of May 2008 for a physical. I had other problems beside my back, one of which was an Inguinal Hernia. Dr. Allen referred me to an outstanding surgeon in the Tampa Bay Area that performs this procedure. I made appointments with Dr. Allen during the month of May 2008 for blood work and to start the homeopathic pain management treatments for my lower back (L4 & L5 degenerative disc disease) and my middle back (T-11 & T12 herniated disc).

I was experiencing intermittent shooting pain in my left leg and pain in my middle back. For weeks I had been experiencing a muscle spasm in the area in my middle back from the herniated disc. After receiving the homeopathic injection into this area, the spasm left by the next day. During the month of May I received two (2) homeopathic pain management treatments. At the end of May I had the hernia surgery performed.

During recovery from the hernia operation, I continued to visit Dr. Allen for homeopathic pain management treatments for my middle and lower back. This included three (3) more treatments in June 2008. I became impatient because the relief from the pain was not coming fast enough. At this point I decided to have my back looked at by an Orthopedic Surgeon at the beginning of July 2008.

The Orthopedic surgeon diagnosed my lower back to be a degenerative disc disease referred to as Spondylythesis and would require fusion of my L4 & L5 Lumbar vertebras. The prognosis did not give me a high level of confidence that his procedure was going to eliminate my back pain. There also was the issue of the herniated disc at T11 & T12 that still needed to be addressed. The surgery was to be scheduled for the 1st week in September 2008.

For the surgery, it was required that I obtain a release from my Primary Doctor for the operation in addition to more blood work. I made an appointment with Dr. Allen on the 1st of August 2008 and explained the decision I had made concerning back surgery. She agreed to the blood work requested and to sign for the surgery if all was well. She then asked if I would like to continue the homeopathic treatments and if there was still time to cancel the surgery. I agreed to the treatments again. This was on a Friday and by Monday my back was feeling remarkably better. I started back on the homeopathic treatments and as a result cancelled my back surgery for September.

As relief from my lower and middle back began to improve, I started experiencing pain in other areas. It appears that when experiencing severe pain in one area I was not really able to feel other pain problems. My neck started to give me some pain at the shoulder level and upper neck. After receiving one homeopathic treatment at the end of August 2008 the pain in my neck was gone in just a few hours. This pain was with me for a couple of weeks and I held off having it treated just to see if the other areas of my back were getting better from the treatments or getting better on their own. This convinced me that the only reason why the pain in my back was getting better was because the homeopathic treatments were actually working. For the month of August 2008 I received four (4) homeopathic pain management treatments in my lower and middle back. To date (mid September 2008), I have received a total of eleven (11) homeopathic pain management treatments to my lower and middle back and four (4) neck pain treatments.

Currently I can get right out of bed in the morning and actually walk (not shuffle) to the bathroom. I am still stiff in the morning, but after being up and about which also includes stretching exercises and specific exercises to build my body core (abdomen and back muscles) I am able move about, bend, walk and stand relatively pain free. I take Ibuprofen at this time when needed. I have not used any powerful pain medication in over a month and a half. I am experiencing daily improvement physically and have found that my posture has improved greatly which I have found to be very important in maintaining good spinal health. And coupled with all of the above, I now have the desire for good nutrition to feel even better.

I hope this helps someone who has been struggling with chronic neck and back pain. I firmly believe that the homeopathic pain management treatments will be able to help you."
